Torrance California

Residents and visitors of Torrance enjoy tennis, golf, swimming, and over 350 acres of open space and parkland, which includes the Madrona Marsh, a fresh-water habitat. The city of Torrance has 24 parks, including the 44-acre Wilson Park and the 52-acre Columbia Park. In all, Torrance has 300 acres of parkland or about 2 acres for every 1000 residents.

Torrance is located approximately twenty minutes from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) by freeway or the scenic Pacific Coast Highway (Route 1) along the area beaches. This large suburb is located east of Redondo Beach and south of Greater Los Angeles. Torrance is part of the Los Angeles-Long Beach, California metro area.
